About Me

I am Data Scientist / Software Engineer which stumbled into the field of Meteorology, and boy is it fun.

I am passionate about empowering Scientists to do science, which is ever more important in this rapidly changing field of Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence.

I have experience developing large software packages to work on environmental data scales.

I am particularly interested in the application of ML & AI models to enhace weather forecasts. I firmly believe a proper scientific approach is needed to truly tackle these large societal problems.

Within this role I was the technical lead on the development of a framework to enable Machine Learning Research for Weather Modelling. I was also embedded in the Bureau’s Coupled Modelling team developing a seasonal prediction system.
